Monday, December 16, 2024 – The Gaza Strip

General

Since noon, December 15th until noon, December 16, 2024:

‣ 52 killed and 203 wounded persons brought to hospitals;

‣ Since October 7, 2023:

◦ 45,028 persons killed;

◦ 106,962 persons wounded.

‣ 2 Israeli reserves soldiers killed when a Rafah building collapsed while booby trapping it:

◦ Alexander Anusov, 26-years-old from Modi'in-Makkabbim-Re'ut;

◦ Maxim (Moshiko) Rosenwald, 35-years-old from Modi'in-Makkabbim-Re'ut.

‣ At Nuseirat today, killed in a bombing was Sheikh Khaled Nabhan, who had become a symbolic figure when, last July, he took leave of his granddaughter Rim who was killed, as he called her Soul of My Soul. He was known as a compassionate man who supported children and took care of animals.

Northern Strip

1. Beit Lahia:

‣ Reports from sieged and shelled Kamal Adwan Hospital:

◦ 4 generators destroyed by drone bombings, the hospital is now in total darkness. The drones bombed anyone trying to come out and fix the generators;

◦ Bodies are strewn in the northern gate due to drone bombings directed at anyone trying to rescue them;

◦ Later, structures in the hospital area exploded during a visit of a World Health Organization delegation.

‣ Artillery fire, 5 persons killed;

‣ Bombing, 3 persons killed;

‣ House bombed, 2 persons killed.

2. Jabalia refugee camp – artillery fire.

3. Gaza City:

‣ Bombing of Al Shati (west), 4 persons killed, 15 wounded;

‣ Bombing of Al Sabra (south), 2 women killed.

Central Strip

1. Nuseirat refugee camp:

‣ Artillery fire, 2 persons killed;

‣ Artillery fire at western part of camp, wounded persons.

Southern Strip

1. Rafah:

‣ Aerial bombing during the night;

‣ Shelling from the sea;

‣ One person killed in eastern part of town by sniper fire;

‣ Structures set on fire at Al Jneina (east).

2. Khan Yunis:

‣ Artillery fire at Al Fukhari (east);

‣ Artillery fire at Khuza'a (east).
