Wednesday, January 8, 2025 – The Gaza Strip
General
Since noon, January 7th until noon, January 8th, 2025:
‣ 51 killed and 78 wounded persons brought to hospitals;
‣ Since October 7, 2023:
◦ 45,936 persons killed;
◦ 109,274 persons wounded.
According to UNICEF, 74 children were killed in the Gaza Strip during the 1st week of 2025.
General
‣ According to Lancet Medical Journal, the number of persons killed directly (NOT including deaths by starvation, weather and medical neglect) reported by the Palestinian Ministry of Health is lower by 41% than the actual number. It is estimated that the real number until the end of June 2024 was 64,000 persons killed (link below).
‣ The bodies of 2 Israeli kidnapped hostages were found. The possibility that they were killed by Israeli bombing is being looked into:
◦ Yusef Al Ziadna, 53-years-old from Rahat;
◦ Hamza Al Ziadna, 23-years-old from Rahat.
‣ 3 Israeli soldiers were killed in 2 ambushes in the Northern Strip:
◦ Nevo Fisher, 20-years-old from Brukhin colony;
◦ Kanao Kasa, 22-years-old from Bet Shemesh;
◦ Matityahu Ya'acov Perel, 22-years-old from Beit El colony.

‣ During the night and morning, 28 persons were killed in 3 separate bombings of Jabalia Al Balad;
‣ Sniper fire at Al Awda Hospital.
2. Beit Lahia – bombing around Kamal Adwan hospital.
3. Gaza City:
‣ Night bombing of Sheikh Radwan, a week-old baby killed, 4 persons missing;
‣ Drone fire at Al Zeitoun during the night;
‣ Artillery fire at Tel El Hawa;
‣ Bombing of Shuja'iya, wounded persons;
‣ Bombing of Al Zeitoun;
‣ Bombing of city center, 5 persons killed;
‣ House bombed in western part of town, 2 persons killed.
Central Strip
1. Nuseirat refugee camp:
‣ Artillery fire north-west of camp during the night;
‣ Nasser Hospital announces lack of fuel. Patient needing dialysis died because of the lack;
‣ Aerial bombing in western part of camp;
‣ Artillery fire in western part of camp.
2. Deir al-Balah:
‣ Night bombing, 2 persons killed;
‣ House bombed, 4 persons killed.
3. Al Bureij refugee camp – aerial bombing during the day.
