General Information
‣ International Child’s Day:
◦ 17,400 Palestinian children killed in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, namely one child killed every half-hour on the average;
◦ Number of minors among the arrestees unknown. Israel does not hand over information;
◦ 700,000 school children have no access to studies;
◦ Over 35,000 children are orphans;
◦ Over 3,000 have lost at least one limb;
◦ Over 21,000 children are missing or do not have parental accompaniment;
◦ Over 50,000 children are suffering severe hunger;
◦ 38 Israeli children were killed on October 7, 2023, all on one day;
◦ 2 Israeli children (a baby and a toddler) are still held hostage.
The Gaza Strip
Since noon, November 19th until noon, November 20th, 2024:
‣ 13 killed and 84 wounded persons brought to hospitals;
‣ Since October 7, 2023:
◦ 43,985 persons killed;
◦ 104,092 persons wounded.
‣ Munir and his son Yassin Faqawi were arrested in Khan Yunis. Their family were told there was no sense in asking about their fate. According to incarcerated eye-witnesses they were used as human shields and then taken to Sdeh Teiman.
Without information, the family applied to a human rights organization, who then demanded they be brought to court. When the court turned to the Israeli army, military authorities updated that the two were no longer alive. The circumstances of their death were not given. The court reprimanded the army and closed the family’s petition.
Northern Strip
1. Jabalia refugee camp and town:
‣ House bombed in Jabalia Al Balad, 12 persons killed, members of a single family;
‣ Artillery fire in Tel Al Za’atar;
‣ Houses exploded.
2. Beit Lahia:
‣ Aerial bombing (fire belt);
‣ School sheltering displaced persons bombed, 3 persons killed;
‣ Playground in Beit Lahia bombed, 5 persons killed, 15 wounded;
‣ Helicopter fire at houses;
‣ Artillery fire.
3. Gaza City:
‣ Artillery fire at Al Sabra (south);
‣ Artillery fire at Tel El Hawa;
‣ Bombing of school sheltering displaced persons at Al Rimal (center), 4 persons killed including 2 journalists;
‣ 5-story house bombed in Sheikh Radwan, 22 persons killed, 10 of them children.
Central Strip
1. Nuseirat refugee camp:
‣ Artillery fire north of the camp;
‣ School sheltering displaced persons bombed, 7 persons killed.
Southern Strip
1. Khan Yunis – displaced persons tents bombed in Al Mawasi, 11 persons killed including 5 children (3 of them members of a single family).
2. Rafah:
‣ Bombing east of town, one person killed, others wounded;
‣ Residential block bombed at Al Saudiya neighborhood (west);
‣ Bombing north of town, 2 persons killed;
‣ Bombing north-west of town, persons wounded.
