Wednesday, October 22, 2025 – The Gaza Strip

General

In the past 24 hours:

◦ 5 persons killed (4 of them bodies rescued from the rubble), 4 persons wounded.

Since October 11, 2025 (when the recent ceasefire agreement went into effect):

◦ 88 persons killed;

◦ 315 wounded;

◦ 436 bodies rescued from the rubble.

Since October 7, 2023 – 68,234 persons killed, 170,373 wounded.

General

1. Aid truck from Egypt have begun to enter the Gaza Strip through Owja Al-Hafir and Kerem Shalom Crossings, including trucks bearing medical supplies and fuel.

2. Much damage caused the The Turkish Hospital in Al Mughraqa in the Central Strip by shelling and bombings. In the past the hospital served as a medical center for treating cancer patients from the entire Strip.

3. Al-Shifa Hospital reports that construction and rehabilitation work in its compound have begun, and announces to families whose relatives’ remains are buried in the compound temporarily will be transferred to a permanent burial site in the coming days.

4. Physicians Without Borders organization demands to open all crossings and hasten evacuation of the ill and wounded who cannot receive medical treatment inside the Gaza Strip.

5. The International Court of Justice at the Hague ruled today that there is no evidence to the allegations that UNRWA violates its neutrality principle or is discriminatory in its distribution of humanitarian aid. Under the present circumstances, there are no organizations including GHF who could replace it.

Exchange of captives and bodies

1. The Gaza Ministry of Health reports that 57 bodies have definitely been identified by their family members out of 165 unidentified bodies.

2. 54 bodies whose identification has failed are buried after DNA samples were taken for investigation and further identification attempts.

3. Today Israel transferred another 30 bodies to the Red Cross under the ceasefire agreements. A total of 195 bodies have been returned so far.

Shuja'iya – tank fire, shells and machine-gun fire in the eastern part of the neighborhood.

1. East:

‣ Artillery fire in the morning;

‣ Tank fire, shells and machine-gun fire in the evening at the eastern part of town;

‣ Artillery fire in the evening at Bani Suheila.
