‣ This data report is an update to previous reports. For detailed data of 2025, the hunger crisis and destruction dimensions, please refer to the previous report.


General

‣ Even after signing the ceasefire agreement in October 2025, Israel continues its daily bombing, shelling or gunshot practices inside and outside the Yellow Line areas, as well as continuing to blow up and demolish buildings in order to destroy infrastructures.

‣ Since the signing of the agreement, 1,520 violations by Israel have been documented.


Palestinians Killed

1. Since the beginning of 2026, 175 were killed, including 37 children.

2. Since the ceasefire agreement signed on October 11, 2025, 591 were killed, including 136 children. In addition, 720 bodies were recovered from the rubble.

‣ Under the terms of the ceasefire agreement, Israel has so far returned 414 unidentified bodies and another 66 boxes with unidentifiable body parts.

‣ 27 persons died due to weather conditions (hypothermia and building collapse), including 12 children dying of hypothermia (most of them under the age of one year).

3. Since October 7, 2023, 72,045 were killed, all of them as a result of direct military action, namely not including hunger, medical neglect, illness, hypothermia etc. The actual number of killed is much higher but based only on estimates. The killed according to population groups is not up-to-date and therefore not accurate at present.

1. On October 7, 2023, 5,400 persons were reported injured.

2. Since October 7, 2023, 3,013 soldiers were injured. According to the Rehabilitation Department of the Ministry of Defense data, 22,000 injured persons have been added in the past two years (from all fronts, no specifics). Of these:

‣ 1,700 were released during the captives exchange deal of October 11, 2025;

‣ 1,249 detainees defined as “Illegal combatants”, mostly Gazans, detained without indictment, and according to testimonies suffered harsh starvation, torture, medical neglect and sexual assaults;



‣ According to a report by the Committee against Torture, there is considerable decline in the judiciary or administrative systems’ involvement in the detentions;

‣ 54 Gazans are known to have died in custody, (in Israeli prison or military detention facilities), due to torture and medical neglect. However, the estimate is much higher since thousands are still missing;

‣ According to testimonies of those released, they suffered physical and psychological torture, sexual assaults and starvation.


Israelis in Captivity

‣ No more Israeli or foreign nationals left in the Gaza Strip.

1. On October 7, 2023 – 251 Israelis and foreign nationals were kidnapped, including 36 children. In addition, prior to October 7, 2023, there were 4 Israelis in the Gaza Strip – 2 killed, 2 captives.

‣ 83 of the captives were killed on October 7, 2023 or in captivity, including a baby and a toddler. 85 bodies were returned.

‣ 166 captives were released alive, almost all in deals of captive exchange (8 living captives were rescued without a deal);

‣ According to testimonies of those released, they suffered starvation, physical violence and sexual assaults.

2. Humanitarian aid:

‣ The Rafah Crossing was ostensibly opened in early February, but even with the opening of the crossing, Israel is imposing severe restrictions on those who try to cross.

‣ Since the closure of the crossing in April 2025 until its opening in February 2026, 3,100 sick and injured were evacuated;

‣ Since its opening, only 397 persons (including accompaniers) have crossed. It is estimated that at least a year is needed to complete evacuation;

‣ The testimonies of those returning to Gaza raise serious claims of harm, threats, interrogations, pressure to prevent their return, and confiscation of equipment by the Israeli army;

‣ Since signing the ceasefire agreement in October 2025, 31,178 aid trucks have crossed into the Gaza Strip out of the 72,000 expected (43%), a daily average of 260 out of the expected 600.


3. Displaced persons:

‣ The entire population of the Gaza Strip, including 1.1 million children, have been displaced at least once;

‣ 1.4 million displaced persons live in about 1,000 sites, in harsh crowded conditions, mostly in tents;

‣ 85,000 households are at risk of harm due to weather conditions;

‣ 230 families live in buildings at high risk of collapse;

‣ During January 2026, 44 single children were reunited with relatives or their parents. An additional 74 were placed in foster families.
