‣ On January 15, 2025 the outline for ceasefire and hostage exchange was signed, beginning January 19, 2025 at 12:15. The agreement will be implemented in 3 phases;

‣ In the first phase, 33 Israeli hostages will be released, including all women, children and men over fifty, during 6 weeks. In exchange, Israel will release between 990 and 1,660 prisoners (depending on the hostages’ release and their condition), according to the key of 30 prisoners per each hostage and 50 for each woman soldier;

‣ In addition, Israel will release all women prisoners and minors detained since October 7, 2023;

‣ Israel will retreat gradually from the Central Strip and enable the return of the displaced persons to the Northern Strip;

‣ At the end of this phase, Hisham A Sayed and Avra Mengistu will be released, and in exchange Israel will release prisoners from the Shalit deal that had been re-arrested.


Palestinians killed

‣ According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, and the number of bodies brought to hospitals or registered by their family members, by direct hits. These do not include persons dying of exposure, starvation, medical neglect and the like;

‣ According to Lancet Medical Journal that checked the Ministry’s reports between October 2023 and June 2024, the report is missing 41%, in other words – the journal estimates that until June 2024, 64,000 Palestinians were killed, namely 3% of the Gaza Strip population, 59% of which were women, children and the elderly.

‣ We shall continue to rely on the official data given by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, understanding that the numbers might be much higher:

◦ 46, 876 persons killed (only 40,717 of them identified);

◦ 605 persons killed since the beginning of 2025;



Minors:

◦ 14,562 according to official numbers in addition to family reports until the end of December, 2024 (Shireen PS);

◦ According to Save the Children organization, 17,818 children were killed (out of 1.1 million children);

◦ The Palestinian Ministry of Education reports 13,054 school children killed (about 110 killed since the beginning of 2025);

◦ In November 2024, Al Jazeera report 3,798 children between the ages of 0 to five killed.



Women:

◦ 9,145 according to identification and report by family members;

◦ 7,216 identified as of November 2024 (according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health).


Elderly persons:

◦ 3,537 according to identification and report by family members;

◦ 3,447 identified.


‣ 657 teachers and principals killed;

‣ 1,60 doctors, nurses and paramedics;

‣ 94 members of rescue teams;

‣ 205 journalists;

‣ 371 aid workers.


‣ As of November, 2024:

◦ 1,410 families wiped out;

◦ 3,463 families with a single survivor;

◦ 1,280 families lost over 5 members;

◦ 5,879 families lost 2-4 members.



‣ Over 11,000 missing persons;

‣ Over 35,000 orphans;

‣ In the 100 days of siege in the Northern Strip, over 5,000 inhabitants were killed or missing;


Israelis killed

‣ On October 7, 2023, 1,162 Israelis and foreign nationals were killed, 38 of them minors;

‣ Since the ground incursion into the Gaza Strip 405 soldiers were killed;

‣ 36 of the 98 hostages are killed with certainty;

‣ The bodies of 40 hostages have been returned;

‣ There are 870 Israeli orphans;

‣ 3 families were totally wiped out.


Palestinians wounded

‣ 110,462 Palestinians wounded, 1,700 wounded since the beginning of 2025;

‣ As of September 2025, 22,500 persons suffering life-changing wounds that need lengthy recovery;

‣ According to the Palestinian Ministry of Education, 21,320 school children and 3,097 teachers and principals were wounded;

‣ According to Save the Children organization:

◦ During 2024 (until November), at least 5,320 children averaging 475 children a month (15 a day) were suffered life-changing wounds that need lengthy recovery periods with the potential of life-long disability;

◦ 12,000 persons ill and wounded are still awaiting evacuation. Since May 2024 (the closing of Rafah Crossing), only 446 were evacuated (since October about 5,000 were evacuated).




Israelis wounded

‣ It is estimated that about 5,400 wounded persons were cared for on October 7, 2023;

‣ Since the ground incursion, 2,561 soldiers have been wounded.


Palestinians arrested

‣ It is estimated that Israel has arrested 4,000 – 6,000 Gaza Strip inhabitants;

‣ The government of Israel reported to the Supreme Court by its demand that 3,636 prisoners from the Gaza Strip are currently held in Israeli custody.


Israeli hostages

‣ Prior to October 7, 2023, 4 Israeli hostages were held in Gaza, 2 of them killed;

‣ On October 7, 2023, 251 Israeli civilians, soldiers and foreign nationals were taken hostage;

‣ 117 of them were returned in the hostage deal;

‣ 40 bodies were returned;

‣ 98 hostages have remained, including 36 who are certainly dead.


Demolition and displacement in the Gaza Strip

‣ 2 million displaced persons;

‣ 80.5% of the 385 sq.km. of the Strip are under eviction orders;

‣ 69% of the buildings have been demolished (as of December 1, 2024 and according to analyzed aerial maps);

‣ 80% of the commercial structures have been hit;

‣ 92% of the residential units have been hit;

‣ 68% of the road networks have been hit (as of August);

‣ 450,000 people are in danger of being hit by flooding;

‣ 945,000 people are not protected from winter damages;

‣ 1.4 sq.m. is the average living space per person in the displaced persons shelters;

‣ Girls and women are highly susceptible to exploitation and sexual violence.




Destruction and displaced persons in Israel

‣ 29 localities were displaced in the area near the Gaza Strip;

‣ 8,402 structures were hit;

‣ 43,000 of the displaced persons have returned home;

‣ 10,000 rockets have been launched in the Gaza Strip.


Palestinian health system destroyed

‣ 50% of the health centers are in partial operation (18 out of 36);

‣ Full or partial operation of 11 field clinics;

‣ Severe crisis in fuel for generator function (no electricity supply) in all institutions fully or partially functional and all the central hospitals face closure.



Food and water

‣ 345,000 people are at the highest level of hunger crisis;

‣ 876,000 are at level 5;

‣ 96% of the children under two years of age suffer unvaried and inappropriate nutrition;

‣ 290,000 children under the age of five suffer unvaried and inappropriate nutrition;

‣ 60,000 children need medical care and suffering malnutrition.


Aid delegations

‣ Since the beginning of the year:

◦ 41% of the applications to coordinate aid delegations have been confirmed and implemented;

◦ Only 28% were confirmed and implemented in the Northern Strip. Not a single one north of Gaza City.
