General Information
1. On January 19, 2025, the first phase of the ceasefire and hostage exchange agreement began, and will last for 6 weeks.
‣ In the 4 parts of this agreement, 18 hostages were released, among them all the women (except for Shiri Bibas and her two children, Kfir and Ariel), and 5 Thai nationals;
‣ 472 incarcerated Palestinians were released, and another 111 Gazans officially uninvolved in warfare;
‣ 345 of these were released into the West Bank (62 women among them), 70 expelled from Israel, 57 expelled into the Gaza Strip (in addition to the 111 Gazans);
‣ Among those released are 80 who were serving life sentences;
‣ In the agreement, Israel is supposed to gradually retreat from the Central Strip, and enable the return of displaced persons to the Northern Strip.
2. Intensified entry of aid trucks, fuel, food and medication. Detailed report of the aid extents will be issued separately, soon.
3. Even after agreement has taken effect, shots were fired by Israeli forces at Palestinians returning north on Al Rashid Road (pedestrians only) and Salah A Din (vehicles).

Palestinians killed
‣ 47,430 persons killed (bodies brought to hospitals and registered or reported by family members, all direct deaths). Of these:
◦ 17,881 children (808 under one year of age, 214 born and killed during the war, 3,798 under five years of age);
◦ 38,495 orphaned children (1,918 lost both parents);
◦ 17,000 children without parental care (orphans or separated from their families);
◦ 12,316 women;
◦ 205 journalists;
◦ 99 members of rescue teams;
◦ 1,155 members of medical teams;
◦ 377 aid workers;
◦ 2,092 families wiped out;
◦ 4,889 families with only one survivor;
◦ 2,400 bodies “evaporated” due to use of heavy bombs;
◦ 14,222 bodies still buried in the rubble;
‣ Members of rescue teams have rescued 38,000 bodies;
‣ Among half a million emergency calls, over 50,000 could not be reached.
Israelis killed
‣ On October 7, 2023, 1,162 Israelis and foreign were reported killed, 38 of them minors;
‣ Since October 7, 2023, 405 soldiers were killed during the invasion of Gaza;
‣ 40 of the 251 persons kidnapped have been returned killed;
‣ Among the 79 captives still held in the Gaza Strip, 35 have been declared killed.
Palestinians wounded
‣ 111,618 persons wounded, over 25,000 of these children;
‣ 22,500 persons suffer life-changing wounding;
‣ In January – November 2024, 5,320 underwent wounding that leaves them disabled for life;
‣ 14,000 await evacuation, 50 are now being evacuated a day.
Israelis wounded
‣ 5,400 persons wounded – reportedly – on October 7, 2023 (only physical wounds), 2,571 soldiers wounded during warfare (only physically);
‣ Total number of persons wounded and cared for by the Rehabilitation Wing of the Ministry of Defense is 8,663, of whom 35% are coping with reaction to battle. For 21% this is their main damage.
Palestinians incarcerated
‣ Israel refuses to give precise numbers of persons incarcerated. It is estimated that 4,500-6,000 is the number;
‣ 58 detainees (from the West Bank and the Gaza Strip) have died during their time in jail;
‣ Some of the released detainees show signs of severe abuse, starvation and both physical and mental deterioration.
Israeli hostages
‣ On October 7, 2023, 251 Israeli civilians, soldiers and foreign nationals were kidnapped;
‣ 171 of them have been released in deals or rescued. 40 of them are killed;
‣ 79 are still held captive in the Gaza Strip, of them 35 are known with certainty to be killed;
‣ Some of the released hostages report starvation, lengthy stay in tunnels, harassment and sexual attacks.
Palestinian demolitions and displacements
‣ There are now 50 million tons of rubble in the Gaza Strip. It is estimated that 20 years will be needed to remove them;
‣ 1.9 million displaced persons;
‣ 76,000 have returned to the Northern Strip;
‣ 70,000 residences totally destroyed and 280,000 with significant damage (a total of 91% of the Gaza Strip residence);
‣ 12,583 commercial structures totally destroyed, 10,412 significantly damaged (80% of commercial structures in the Strip);
‣ 2,000 industrial structures totally destroyed, 1,721 significantly damaged;
‣ 983 mosques totally destroyed, 146 significantly damaged;
‣ 927 educational institutions totally destroyed, 233 significantly damaged (88% of the Strip’s educational institutions);
‣ 85% of the Gaza Strip farmland.
Destruction and displaced persons in Israel\
‣ 29 localities evacuated;
‣ 8,402 structures damaged;
‣ Over 10,000 cars;
‣ 74,500 displaced persons – 43,000 returned home;
‣ It is estimated that at least 5 years are needed to rehabilitate the Israeli area near the Gaza Strip boarder.
Hunger crisis
‣ 16,500 pregnant women need treatment of malnutrition;
‣ 60,000 children under the age of five;
‣ 96% of the child population under two has not been properly nourished;
‣ 290,000 children under the age of five;
‣ 48,000 pregnant women;
‣ The numbers will be updated.
