Palestinians killed

‣ 37,718 Palestinians killed (NOT including missing persons), of which 27,661 were identified;

‣ 15,821 of them children killed (33 of them of malnutrition);

‣ 10,475 of them women killed;

‣ 498 members of medical staff killed;

‣ 152 journalists killed;

‣ 70 rescue team members killed;

‣ 7 mass graves discovered containing 520 bodies. Most of them not identified;

‣ 10,000 missing persons, 4,000 of them children;

‣ 17,000 children remained orphaned of one parent, 510 of both parents.

According to Save the Children organization:

‣ 20,000 “lost” children - missing, separated from their families, remaining buried in the rubble, arrested, wounded and disabled without a protective adult and in risk of exploitation;

‣ In October though December 2023, 60 families were documented losing over 25 family members (at times 4 generations), one-quarter of them lost over 50 family members. In some of the families there was almost no one survived to document this.




Israelis killed

‣ 1,514 Israelis killed since October 7th;

‣ 314 soldiers killed since the beginning of the ground invasion;

‣ Unclear how many hostages have been killed.


Palestinians wounded

‣ 86,377 wounded, of whom only 54,339 have been identified;

‣ Of them, 34,000 children;

‣ About 1,500 children have lost limbs or eyes;

‣ 25,000 applications have been made for urgent evacuation, of which 6,625 were approved and only 4,895 were evacuated;

‣ The Rafah Crossing has been closed since May 7, 2024.


Israelis wounded

‣ About 5,400 Israelis wounded on October 7th;

‣ 2,005 soldiers wounded since the beginning of the ground invasion.


Hostages

‣ About 120 hostages, unknown how many are still alive.


Arrested

‣ About 5,000 Palestinians have been arrested;

‣ Of them, 250 are minors;

‣ 310 medical staff members;

‣ 21 journalists.


Attorney Khaled Mahajna was permitted to enter the detention facility at Sdeh Teiman and he reports:

‣ There are over 1,000 detainees present, shackled and blindfolded 24/7 except for a one-minute break for a shower;

‣ Shower time exceeded is punished;

‣ No speaking;

‣ No standing;

‣ Sleeping on the ground without blankets, using shoes as a pillow;

‣ No sleeping in the daytime;

‣ Surrounded with guard dogs the whole time;

‣ Many cases of sexual attacks such as rape and abuse;

‣ Torture;

‣ No change of clothes;

‣ Medical treatment without sedatives or anesthetics (including amputations);

‣ At least 6 detainees died in custody.


Health Crisis

‣ 10,200 cancer patients need urgent evacuation, 980 of them minors (250 of them in critical condition);

‣ 1,200 patients in need of dialysis depend on only 17 machines;

‣ 70% of the vital medication is missing;

‣ Lack of pads and bandages impacts surgery and changing bandages for burn patients;

‣ 70% of medical institutions have been impacted and remain non-functional;

‣ 1.5 million reports of infectious disease, mostly liver and intestinal inflammation;

‣ 71,338 cases of viral hepatitis;

‣ Fear of cholera development among the displaced;

‣ 40,000 babies unvaccinated;

‣ 464 attacks of health installations have been documented, during which 727 ill and wounded patients were killed, 933 wounded;

‣ 4 hospitals partly functional. All the rest non-functional;

‣ Dire lack of fuel.

Hunger

‣ 95% of Gaza Strip inhabitants denied access to clean water;

‣ 3,500 children under the age of five suffer severe malnutrition;

‣ Renewed estimates according to the IPC scale (that defines 5 levels of malnutrition, level 5 being the severest and constituting risk of death):

◦ 96% of the Gaza Strip population face high levels of nutritional crisis (level 3 and over);

◦ 745,000 face level 4;

◦ 495,000 face level 5.

‣ Strong malnutrition developing in the Rafah area;

‣ Over half the population has no food at home;

‣ 20% go through day and night without eating;

‣ In order to get food, over half the people sell clothes;

‣ One-third of the people collect garbage in order to sell it for food;

‣ 99% of 6-23-month-olds suffer decreased nutrition (are nourished with less than half of the food groups needed);

‣ 96% of the pregnant or nursing women suffer decreased nutrition;

‣ 100% of the examined parents reported skipping meals in order to make sure their offspring ate.


Displaced persons and demolitions

‣ 2 million displaced persons;

‣ 700,000 children forcibly displaced;

‣ 625,000 children without educational facilities since October 7th;

‣ 650,000 children have lost their homes;

‣ 150,000 residences totally destroyed;

‣ 80,000 residences uninhabitable;

‣ 200,000 residences partly destroyed;

‣ 79,000 tons of explosives dropped on the Gaza Strip;

‣ 3,348 lethal attacks;

‣ 37,000,000 tons of rubble.
