Israelis and foreign nationals killed
1. On October 7, 2023, 1,162 Israelis and foreign nationals were killed, of them 38 children, one of them under the age of one year.
‣ 456 male and female soldiers were killed since the beginning of the ground invasion.
‣ 45 male and female soldiers committed suicide since October 7,2023, 17 of them since the beginning of 2025.
2. In the Gaza Strip, 26 bodies of kidnapped, officially established as dead, are held.
‣ So far, 15 bodies of kidnapped persons killed on October 7, 2023 or later have been returned to Israel.

‣ The Gaza Strip has been defined as the site with the highest concentration of amputated children in modern history.
4. Special needs, medication, aids, evacuation and diagnoses:
‣ 92% of persons with special physical needs have difficulty reaching food and medication;
‣ 83% of persons with special needs have lost their physical aids;
‣ 15,800 persons wounded and ill patients need evacuation, 4,912 of them children;
◦ In 2025, only 2,259 wounded or ill persons were evacuated;
‣ 12,500 cancer patients have remained without treatment;
‣ 71,388 diagnosed cases of hepatitis;
‣ 350,000 chronic patients remain without treatment.
Israelis and foreign nationals wounded
1. On October 7, 2023, about 5,400 wounded persons were reported.
2. 2,888 male and female soldiers have been wounded since the beginning of the ground invasion.
3. Over 9,000 male and female soldiers suffer from PTSD. 3,769 of them were recognized as such by the Ministry of Defense.
Israelis kidnapped
1. At present, 48 kidnapped persons are held in the Gaza Strip, of them 26 officially declared dead.
2. 207 kidnapped persons were either returned in deals or by rescue actions, of them 15 dead.
3. In videos released by Hamas, the kidnapped persons suffer severe malnutrition and psychological stress. Reports of those returned include testimonies of sexual, mental and physical abuse.
Palestinians detained and kidnapped
‣ The State of Israel does not provide information about the number of Gazan detainees since October 7, 2023.
1. According to Palestinian sources, at least 6,633 persons have been detained, not including about 5,000 Gazan workers with work permits, detained inside Israel where they were working on October 7, 2023.
2. According to both Palestinian and Israeli sources, it is known that 26 members of rescue teams, 362 medical staffs, and 48 journalists are held in Israeli detention centers.
3. 45 Gazan detainees have died so far in Israeli incarceration facilities.
Displacement and destruction
1. Displaced persons:
‣ Since October 7, 2023, about 2 million persons displaced.
‣ Since March 18, 2025:
◦ 856,000 persons displaced at least once;
◦ 86.5% under military command or evacuation orders;
‣ During the last week of August there is movement of displaced persons from the eastern parts of Gaza City to its western parts, to Deir al Balah in the Central Strip and to Khan Yunis in the Southern Strip.
◦ 280,000 families need a residential tent;
◦ 1.45 million persons lack basic domestic equipment.
2. Destruction:

Education and health
1. Education:
‣ 17,237 schoolchildren killed and 25,213 wounded since October 7, 2023.
‣ Studies:
◦ 700,000 pupils did not begin their school studies on September 1, 2025;
◦ 658,000 pupils have missed two entire school years;
◦ 56,000 first graders did not begin their school year;
◦ 71,000 high school students did not complete their matriculation exams;
◦ About one half of the children are helped by informal learning centers. However, 396 of these centers were attacked by the Israeli army. 117 of them during 2025.
2. Health:
‣ Infrastructure:
◦ 1,921 attacks against medical institutions and their branches;
◦ Out of 36 hospitals in the Gaza Strip, 18 are partly functional (one only fully functional);
◦ Out of 16 field hospitals in the Gaza Strip, 10 partly functional;
◦ Out of 174 primary clinics, 69 are partly functional;
◦ 332 ambulances either totally or partly destroyed;
◦ Over 240% beds occupied.
‣ Medication:
◦ Lack of vital medication such as RUTF, baby formula, antibiotics, glucose.
Humanitarian crisis
‣ On August 22, 2025, the IPC agency of the UN monitoring malnutrition, declared the Gaza Strip as a famine-stricken area.
‣ 55,000 pregnant women and 320,000 children under the age of five are expected to suffer acute malnutrition until June 2026;
‣ Children:
◦ Of 58,617 children examined, 10% were found suffering acute malnutrition;
◦ Since January 2025, 44,000 children were treated for malnutrition.
‣ Pregnant women:
◦ 67% of pregnant women suffer anemia due to malnutrition;
◦ 1,820 reported cases of premature birth.
‣ Death:
◦ Until September 3, 2025, 367 cases of death due to starvation have been reported, 131 of them children. 260 of the total cases of death by starvation are since the beginning of 2025.
‣ Aid:
◦ Only 15% of the aid trucks needed in the Gaza Strip have been allowed entry. 90% of them have been looted.
