General

1. Al-Aqsa Mosque continues to be closed to worshipers on the third Friday of Ramadan.

2. The past week in numbers:

‣ 2 killed (by colonists);

‣ 25 injured;

‣ 164 arrested;

‣ 147 raids on communities;

‣ 87 raids on homes;

‣ 9 cases of expulsion from homes and conversion into military positions;

‣ 26 colonist attacks resulting in damage to property, injuries, or both.



Raids and Arrests

Jenin refugee camp and town (418th consecutive day), Tulkarm refugee camp and town (412th consecutive day), Nur Shams refugee camp (398th consecutive day);

‣ During the night, Israeli forces raided Jaba' (Jenin), Talfit, Deir al-Ghusun, Qabalan, Beita, Al-Tira (Ramallah), Deir Sammit, Bani Na'im, Sa'ir, Burqin, Kafr Ra'i, Fahma, Al-Yamun, Beit Qad, Dheisheh refugee camp, Beit Furik, Barta'a, Dura, Hebron, Tammun, Al Fawwar refugee camp, Al-Auja, Al Shuyukh, Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, Ein Al Sultan refugee camp. During the day, they raided Silwad, Silwan, Issawiya, Aqabah, Kafr 'Aqab, Silat al-Harithiya, Kafr Dan, Qalqilya, Shuweika, Al-Arroub refugee camp, Al-Bireh, Beit Iksa, Sebastia, Kafr Ni'ma, Halhul, Urif. At least 11 arrested, including the director of the Ministry of Education office in Jenin.



Israeli army attacks on Palestinians

1. Tuqu'a, south-east of Bethlehem - clashes.

2. Jurat al-Sham'a, south of Bethlehem - uprooting of dozens of olive trees.

3. Fahma, south-west of Jenin - raid and violent assaults on residents; 2 injured.

4. Barta'a, west of Jenin - night raid on homes.

5. Al-Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron - clashes.

6. Tammun, south of Tubas - night raid on homes.

7. Shuweika, north of Tulkarm - resident beaten and injured.

8. Beit Iksa, north-west of Jerusalem - uprooting of 80 ancient olive trees.


9. Ein Al Sultan refugee camp, northern Jericho - night raid, stun grenades.

10. Al-Auja, north of Jericho - night raid, stun grenades.

11. Qalqilya - large-scale raid; two motorcyclists run over and arrested. Clashes develop on Nablus Street.


12. Al-Tira, west of Ramallah - night raid on homes; several converted into military positions; detentions and field interrogations. Roads blocked with earth mounds.

13. Beit Furik, east of Nablus - prolonged raid on homes; detentions and field interrogations.


14. Beita, south of Nablus - clashes; one injured from live fire.


Colonist attacks on Palestinians

1. Khirbet Makhul, northern Palestinian Jordan Valley - child shepherd attacked and beaten for grazing near an outpost.

2. Tayasir, east of Tubas - colonists steal 150 sheep. Palestinians attempt to retrieve them; the army and colonists fire at them and beat them. 12 injured, most from beatings.

3. Deir Ballut, west of Salfit - two residents attacked and beaten north of the village.

4. Duma, south-east of Nablus - colonists raid the Al-Shaqara community, attack residents and human rights activists; the army arrests activists following a false complaint by colonists.
