Raids and arrests

During the night and the day, Israeli forces raided Beitunia, Tammun, Qarawat Bani Hassan, Burin, Shuafat refugee camp, Azzun, Beit Liqya, Al Khader, Hebron, Al Funduq, Jinsafut, Bani Na'im, Deir Abu Mash'al, Deir Jarir. No official number of arrestees has been given. Over 70 were detained for interrogation, humiliated, and released in Azzun.

‣ The process of releasing 90 prisoners and detainees has begun by the numbers we reported yesterday. They arrived at their homes accompanied by soldiers who forced them to avoid the presence of people other than parents, siblings, spouses and children, and without any joyous celebrations;

‣ The Israeli forces closed down checkpoints throughout the West Bank, as well as placing iron gates at the entrances to localities and closing them down, which caused a traffic crisis.

Army attacks against Palestinians

1. Beitunia, west of Ramallah, near the Ofer prison camp. Confrontations as people waited for the released prisoners. 2 persons wounded by live fire.

2. Tammun – raid and confrontations. Explosive charge activated against military force. An Israeli officer killed, 4 persons wounded, among them one person badly.

3. Jaba' Checkpoint, north of Jerusalem – checkpoint closed down. Teargas fired at waiting vehicles.

4. ad-Dhahiriya, south of Hebron – bulldozer works, trees in cemetery uprooted.

5. Azzun, east of Qalqilya - raid with live fire, raid with live fire, teargas and stun grenades. Over 70 persons detained, harassed, then released.

6. Al Khader, south-west of Bethlehem – raid. One person wounded by stun grenade that hit his face during confrontations.

7. Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah – confrontations.


Demolitions

1. Silwan, East Jerusalem – demolition and cessation of work orders issued.

2. Issawiya, north-east Jerusalem – demolition and cessation of work orders issued.


Colonist attacks against Palestinians

‣ Right-wing groups have called for pogroms.


1. Kisan, south-east of Bethlehem – colonists with dog attack and wound a Palestinian farmer. No arrests.

2. Al Fawwar refugee camp, south of Hebron – colonists secured by soldiers congregate at entrance, their signs calling for Nakba 2. No signs confiscated, no arrests.

3. Awarta Checkpoint, south-east of Nablus – colonists secured by soldiers block vehicle traffic.

4. Jit, east of Qalqilya – stones thrown at Palestinian vehicles. No arrests.

5. Al Funduq and Jinsafut, east of Qalqilya – colonists attacks and set houses on fire, as well as shops and vehicles.



Soldiers use live fire against Palestinians, hit and badly wound two masked colonists, assuming they are Palestinians.

21 Palestinians wounded by blows, smoke and teargas. The army closes down the localities' iron gate, thus seizing the inhabitants inside their localities. No arrests.

6. Yitzhar colony, south of Nablus – stones thrown at Palestinian vehicles. No arrests.

7. Hajjah, east of Qalqilya – colonists attack houses with stones. No arrests.

8. Burka, east of Ramallah – colonists secured by soldiers scatter nails on the entrance road. No arrests.

9. Khirbet Ma'in, Masafer Yatta – colonists raid a house.
