Monday, June 17, 2024 – The West Bank

Second day of the Muslim Holiday of Sacrifice (Eid Al Adha).


Raids and arrests

During the night and day, Israeli forces raided Azzun, Qalqilya, Aqraba, Urif, Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, Artas, Anata, Ras Khamis, Kardala, Shu’afat refugee camp, Silwan, Ramin, Hebron, Umm Safa, Ajjul, Beit Ummar, Issawiya, Yasuf, Iskaka, Jalbun, Kafr al-Labad, Kharbatha Bani Harith. About 10 Palestinians were arrested, including a woman and a minor.


Clashes

1. Qalqilya - nearly every night Israeli forces arrest family members (including parents and siblings, even minors) of a wanted man in order to pressure him to turn himself in. Tonight, it was his mother again. Confrontations, including fire exchange.

2. Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, south of Jericho - night raid of a house and attack of its inhabitants.

3. Ajjul, north of Ramallah - confrontations during a raid.



4. Beit Ummar - confrontations at night.


Demolitions and blocking

1. Al Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron - blocking the entrance to the camp with dirt dykes and rocks.

2. Al Fawwar refugee camp, south of Hebron - blocking the entrance to the camp with dirt dykes and rocks.


Attacks against colonists

1. Burin, south of Nablus - stones thrown, damage to vehicle.

2. Karmei Tzur, north of Hebron - firecrackers thrown.


Colonist attacks

1. Huwara, south of Nablus - stones thrown, with Israeli army backing, at Palestinian cars.

2. Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah - colonists throw stones at Palestinians. Confrontations ensue. Clashes. 7 Palestinians wounded. Colonists attacked ambulance as it was evacuating the wounded.

3. Bani Na'im, east of Hebron - new colonist outpost.
