General information

1. The Israeli army has placed checkpoints, closed iron gates and piled dirt dykes at the entrances of numerous localities in the West Bank, and has made movement restrictions even worse. In Nablus city, for example, 10 checkpoints have been created, 38 iron gates closed and 47 dirt dykes.

2. Data from the 47 consecutive days of raid on Jenin, Tulkarm and refugee camps in their areas:

Tulkarm refugee camp and town and Nur Shams refugee camp:

◦ 13 persons killed;

◦ 632 houses totally demolished or significantly damaged;

◦ 190 persons detained;

◦ 25,000 displaced persons.

Jenin refugee camp and town:

◦ 31 persons killed;

◦ 503 houses totally demolished or significantly damaged;

◦ 199 persons detained;

◦ 20,000 displaced persons.

Jenin refugee camp

Raids and arrests

During the night, Israeli forces raided Jenin refugee camp and town (27th consecutive day), Tulkarm refugee camp and town (41st consecutive day), Nur Shams refugee camp (27th consecutive day), Nabi Salih, Qusra, Nablus, Hebron, Azzun, Al Fawwar refugee camp. During the day they raided Burin, Al-Ram, Deir Dibwan, Al-Bireh, Beita, Beit Ummar, Kafr 'Aqab, Madama, Yatma, Dura, Surif, Nahalin, Al Khader, Kafr Ein, Burqin, Kafr Qud, Sa'ir, Salem, Qalqilya, Danaba suburb (of Tulkarm), Asala, Izbat at-Tabib, Arraba, Azzun, Burqa, Kafr Qaddum, Beit Rima.

‣ No official data was given of the number of detainees, but according to the reported events, at least 13 Palestinians were arrested, among them a minor and a journalists, and 2 solidarity activists.


Army attacks against Palestinians

1. Hebron – today too, Muslims entering the Ibrahimi Mosque (Cave of the Fathers) to pray are blocked.

2. Beit Ummar, north of Hebron – raid and confrontations. Suffocations.

3. Jenin – 47th consecutive day of raid. Increased presence of armored cars in villages south and south-west of the district. In town, government hospital compound is blocked and journalists detained. Another house in the refugee camp is set on fire.

4. Madama, south of Nablus – olive trees uprooted. Then town raided with stun grenades.

5. Yatma, south of Nablus – confrontations.

6. Dura, south-west of Hebron – raid with live fire. Confrontations.

7. Surif, north of Hebron – raid during which a private car’s driver is arrested and his vehicle thrown into the valley.

8. Sa'ir, north-east of Hebron – confrontations.

9. Qalqilya – eastern entrance closed off, teargas fired.

10. Azzun, east of Qalqilya – raid after grenades thrown at vehicles. Confrontations. Explosive charge hits a military vehicle.

11. Al Khader, south-west of Bethlehem – raid with live fire and stun grenades.

12. Beit Rima, north-west of Ramallah – confrontations.

13. Nur Shams refugee camp – 27th consecutive day of raid. House raided and property vandalized.


Palestinian attacks against colonists

1. Azzun, east of Qalqilya – shots fired, grenades thrown at vehicles on the road west of the town.


Colonist attacks against Palestinians

1. Khallet ad-Daba'a, Masafer Yatta – colonists raid private land with their own flocks. 3 inhabitants who asked them to leave are attacked with clubs. Later the soldiers beat them up again and arrests them together with 2 solidarity activists.



2. Qawawis, Masafer Yatta – army-garbed colonists detain a shepherd claiming their commander wishes to speak with him. He is held for house, attacked verbally, then released.

3. Al Maniya, east of Bethlehem - colonists block the road.
