Saturday, October 19, 2024 – The West Bank

Killed

1. Yusef Ahmad Taha, 27-years-old from Old Askar refugee camp.


Raids and arrests

During the night, Israeli forces raided Qalqilya, Qalandia refugee camp, Balata refugee camp, New Askar refugee camp, Hebron. During the day they raided Beitunia, Beit Furik, Udala, Deir Ballut, Madama, Husan, Nabi Salih, Kafr Ein, Beit Rima, Beita, Ein Yabrud, Al Jarushiyya, Al Khader. At least 19 Palestinians arrested, a 7-year-old child among them.


Army attacks against Palestinians

1. Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus – confrontations during a night raid.

2. New Askar refugee camp, east of Nablus – night raid with bulldozers.

3. Qalandia refugee camp, north of Jerusalem – one person wounded by live fire during night raid.



4. Beit Furik, east of Nablus – raid and confrontations. One person wounded by live fire.

5. Udala, south of Nablus – raid and confrontations. Suffocations.

6. Deir Ballut, west of Salfit – soldiers arrest a 7-year-old child (!) as he herded sheep.

7. Al Khader, south of Bethlehem – raid with stun grenades thrown at vehicles near the mosque.

8. Dotan Checkpoint, south-west of Jenin – fire exchange.

9. Madama, south of Nablus – soldiers attack olive harvesters and vandalize their vehicle.

10. Husan, west of Bethlehem – soldiers attack olive harvesters and fire teargas and stun grenades at them. 6 harvesters arrested.

11. Beita, south of Nablus – soldiers attack an ambulance team and arrest one of the members.

12. Qawawis, Masafer Yatta – soldiers prevent olive harvest.

13. Susya, Masafer Yatta – soldiers prevent olive harvest.


Palestinian attacks against the army

1. Ofra, north-east of Ramallah – Palestinian vehicle speeds at Border Police vehicle and crashes into it. Driver killed. No Israeli casualties.




Confiscations, blocking, demolition

80,000 dunams of olive groves prohibited harvesting due to their proximity to the Separation Wall or to colonies and their outposts.

1. Farsiyeh, northern Palestinian Jordan Valley – soldiers confiscate tractor and tents of a member of the shepherd community.


Palestinian attacks against colonists

1. Karme Tsur, north of Hebron – fire crackers thrown at colony.

2. Al Khader, south of Bethlehem – stones thrown at vehicles.


Colonist attacks against Palestinians

1. Jalud, south-east of Nablus – colonists attacks, set fire to houses and a chicken coop, throw stones. 2 persons wounded.



2. Rujeib, east of Nablus – colonists attack olive harvesters and force them to leave.

3. Farsiyeh, northern Palestinian Jordan Valley – colonists vandalize vehicle. Later, soldiers confiscate tractor and tents of the community member who was attacked.

4. Deir Istiya, west of Salfit – colonists attack olive harvesters, shoot in the air. Steal harvest equipment.
