Raids and arrests
During the night, Israeli forces raided Jenin refugee camp and town (111th consecutive day), Tulkarm refugee camp and town (105th consecutive day), Nur Shams refugee camp (92nd consecutive day), Al-Bireh, Al-Ram, Tubas, Nablus, Dheisheh refugee camp, Balata refugee camp, Beita. During the day they raided Silwan, Kafr Dan, Arraba, Halhul, Deir Ghazaleh, Bethlehem, Beit Qad, Deir Abu Da'if, Al Khader, Ya'bad, Kafr al-Labad, Immatain. A least 8 Palestinians were arrested.
‣ Protest following the Palestinian Authority’s decision to cut back grants received by prisoners and family members of the killed and wounded.
Army attacks against Palestinians
1. Al-Ram, north of Jerusalem – raid, arrests. 2 persons arrested. Confrontations. Teargas fired and stun grenades thrown near the Separation Wall. Another raid in the afternoon, main street closed, shops and vehicles searched. Confrontations, live fire. A youngster wounded in the leg by live fire.
2. Nablus – raid, arrests. 3 persons arrested. Auxiliary forces called in.
5. Bethlehem – raid and siege of a building on Jamal Abed Al Nasser Street. Teargas, stun grenades. The Container Checkpoint north-east of the town closed down.
6. Beit Qad, east of Jenin – checkpoint at entrance junction to village. Arrests. One person arrested.
7. Deir Abu Da'if, east of Jenin – raid, confrontations. Explosive charge operated against raiding forces, who reacted with massive live fire.
8. Tulkarm – more families evicted from their homes in the eastern neighborhood.
Palestinian attacks against colonists
1. Road 5, north-west of Salfit – stones thrown, damage to vehicle.
2. Al Maniya, south-east of Bethlehem – incendiary bomb thrown at colonist vehicle. No casualties reported.
