From noon, October 19th until noon October 20,2024:
‣ 94 killed and 158 wounded persons brought to hospitals This does not reflect the actual number of killed persons since many bodies cannot be rescued/evacuated in the Northern Strip;
‣ Since October 7, 2023:
◦ 42,603 persons killed;
◦ 99.795 persons wounded.
‣ Israeli brigade commander killed, 3 others wounded, one of them badly, in an explosion of a charge in the Northern Strip (Jabalia);
◦ The killed person is Lieutenant General Ahsan Daqsa, 41-years-old from Daliyat al-Karmil.
Displaced, again
Northern Strip
This is the 16th day of siege. No entry of food, drink, medication or fuel. Reports of shots taken at anyone trying to get out and find food. The Israeli army continues its building destruction in addition to unceasing bombings, shelling and drone fire.
1. Jabalia refugee camp, Al Balad and Al Nazla:
‣ Helicopter fire. Machin-gun fire;
‣ Houses exploded west of the camp. House bombed;
‣ House bombed in Jabalia Al Nazla, 5 persons killed;
‣ Artillery fire at Al Falouja;
‣ Abu Hussein School bombed.
2. Beit Lahia:
‣ Kamal Adwan Hospital (the only hospital with children and neo-natal wards) as well as immediate surroundings heavily bombed and fired at. During the night, water and electricity grids hit;
‣ Tank fire from the west;
‣ Helicopter fire from the west;
‣ Shelling from the sea;
‣ Artillery fire, child killed;
‣ Helicopter fire at Halifa School, unclear number of persons killed;
‣ Fire set at displaced persons centers near the Indonesian Hospital.
2. Gaza City:
‣ Al Tuffah (south) – machine-gun fire. House bombed, 11 persons wounded;
‣ West – house bombed;
‣ Tel El Hawa (south-west) – heavy bombing;
‣ Sheikh Radwan (north-west) – bombing, wounded persons.
Central Strip
1. Deir al-Balah:
‣ Helicopter fire;
‣ Bombing from the west;
‣ Displaced persons tents bombed;
‣ House bombed in the west, 6 persons killed.
2. Al Zawaida – drone fire, persons wounded.
3. Al Bureij refugee camp – bombing.
Southern Strip
1. Rafah:
‣ Bombing from the west;
‣ Bombing in the east (Al Jneina);
‣ Drone bombing from the north, 2 persons killed;
‣ Bombing in the center.
