Raids and arrests
During the night, Israeli forces raided Anabta, Baqat Al Khatab, Urif, Silat ad-Dhahr, Hajja, Ramallah, Ramin. During the day they raided Nablus, Ni’lin, Tubas, Hares, Beit Ummar, Jalazone refugee camp, Arabbuna, Balata refugee camp, Sarra, Yatta, Umm Safa, Al Fawwar refugee camp, Beit Imrin, Kafr ‘Aqab, Qalandia refugee camp. At least 12 Palestinians were arrested, a minor and a woman among them.
Clashes and army attacks against Palestinians
1. Ramallah – night raid at Al Jazeera offices in Ramallah’s center, with a directive to close for 45 days.
Documents and equipment sequestered, picture of Shireen Abu Akleh torn down, broadcast outside prevented, teargas fired.
2. Nablus – special force penetrates the Old City, immediately followed by auxiliary. Confrontations, shots fired indiscriminately. 3 persons wounded by live fire, 2 of them minors.
3. Silat ad-Dhahr, south of Jenin – confrontations during a raid.
4. Jalazone refugee camp, north of Ramallah – teargas fired into a school compound at entrance to camp. Suffocations.
5. Tubas – special force penetration, immediately followed by military auxiliary around Al Deir. Confrontations. Arrest of man and woman.
School raided, pupils and teachers arrested, marched off to unknown destination (released after 2- hours without the children’s families knowing where they were).
7. Beit Ummar, north of Hebron – raid with teargas.
11. Umm Safa, north-west of Ramallah – raid, two villagers detained, bulldozer works on Jabal Al Ras.
12. Hebron – raid with damage to vehicles. Confrontations. Shots fired at Palestinian who filmed the raid.
