Raids and arrests

During the night, Israeli forces raided Jenin refugee camp and town (176th consecutive day), Tulkarm refugee camp and town (170th consecutive day), Nur Shams refugee camp (157th consecutive day), Burka, Shuweika, Deir Dibwan, Deir Jarir, Seida, Jericho, Illar, ad-Dhahiriya, Urif, Beita, Al Fawwar refugee camp, Hebron, Balata refugee camp, Burqa, Silwan. During the day they raided Bethlehem, Salfit, Dura, Danaba (Tulkarm), Dheisheh refugee camp, Qalandia refugee camp, Qaryut, Ya'bad, Silat al-Harithiya, As-Sawiya, Jalbun, Tell, Qusra, Deir Abu Da'if, Sarra, Qaffin, Idna, Aqabah, Zababdeh. At least 27 Palestinians were arrested.

‣ Israeli security sources report that the security coordination with the Palestinian Authority was at its best this past year.


Army attacks against Palestinians

1. Bethlehem – detentions. 5 persons were arrested.

2. Dheisheh refugee camp, Bethlehem – raid with live fire.

3. Deir Abu Da'if, east of Jenin – several houses raided. Searches.

4. Ya'bad, south-west of Jenin – house raided.

5. Hebron – raid in the southern part of town. Arrests. The Red Crescent reports an attack against an industrial plant in town, 12 wounded persons hospitalized.

6. ad-Dhahiriya, south of Hebron – raid, detentions.

7. Dura, south of Hebron – raid, detentions.

8. Idna, west of Hebron – raid, confrontations. One person wounded by live fire.

9. Danaba, Tulkarm – raid, detentions. 6 persons arrested.

10. Seida, north of Tulkarm – raid, detentions.

11. Shuweika, north of Tulkarm – raid, detentions.

12. Silwan, East Jerusalem – detentions. 2 persons arrested.

13. Jericho – Raid. Special forces fire shots at vehicle claiming an attempt at a runover attack. Rescue teams access prevented. Driver wounded and arrested.

14. Salfit – raid, detentions. 4 persons arrested.

15. Balata refugee camp, east Nablus – house raided, detentions. 2 persons arrested.

16. Nablus – lighting bombs fired over Gerizim Mountain in the evening.

17. Burqa, north of Nablus – raid, detentions.

18. Urif, south of Nablus – raid, detentions. 2 persons arrested.

19. Qusra, south of Nablus – confrontations.

20. Tell, west of Nablus – several houses raided in the afternoon, raid continued in the evening with stun grenades and teargas canisters.

Palestinian Authority forces’ activity

1. Tulkarm – local sources report that PA forces began a widespread arrest operation in the refugee camp and town including improvised explosive charges confiscated.


Colonist attacks against Palestinians

1. Raba, south-east of Jenin – colonists with soldiers enter the village. Confrontations.

2. Birin, south-east of Hebron – colonists perform earth works and flattening of village land. Several local inhabitants sit down in front of the bulldozer to try to prevent its work.

3. Beit Hanina, Jerusalem – a bus driver attacked by a group of Jewish youngsters who beat him up and stole his cell phone. The driver was hospitalized.

4. Susya, Masafer Yatta – colonists attack Umm Neer. One person wounded.

5. Beit Hasan, north-east of Nablus – colonists, one armed with a handgun, attack a Palestinian farmer.

6. Salem, east of Nablus – new colonist outpost on town land.
