Raids and arrests

During the night, Israeli forces raided Jenin refugee camp and town (169th consecutive day), Tulkarm refugee camp and town (163rd consecutive day), Nur Shams refugee camp (150th consecutive day), Nablus, Al Shuyukh, Balata refugee camp, Balata Al Balad, Hebron, Beit Ummar, Qalandia refugee camp, Jamma'in, Burqin. During the day they raided Jalazone refugee camp, Bir al-Basha, Budrus, Sebastia, Bil'in, Barta'a, Anata, Sa'ir, Beita, Dura, Zababdeh, Al Far'a refugee camp, Turmus Ayya, Udala, Ya'bad, Anza, Deir al-Ghusun. Number of arrests not reported.

‣ 10,800 Palestinians are incarcerated. For the first time since the Al-Aqsa (second) Intifada, the number of Palestinians in prison exceeds 10,000.


Army attacks against Palestinians

1. Jenin refugee camp – the army enables about 25 women to enter and retrieve some of the property they left behind prior to the demolition of their homes.

2. Barta'a, north of Jenin – arrests.

3. Bir al-Basha, south of Jenin – arrests.

4. Hebron – raid with live fire in the southern part of town.

5. Sa'ir, north of Hebron – violent confrontations.

6. Dura, south of Hebron – house raided. Arrest.

7. Tulkarm refugee camp – Red Crescent teams managed to enter camp and collect objects and equipment left behind since the army prevents their owners from returning and retrieving them. The house demolitions continue.

Later, the army chases away journalists and inhabitants by means of stun grenades.

8. Nur Shams refugee camp, Tulkarm – house set on fire in Manshiya neighborhood of camp.

9. Deir al-Ghusun, north of Tulkarm – raid, stun grenades.

10. Anata, north-east of Jerusalem – raid and attack of passenger in a vehicle.

11. Budrus, west of Ramallah – violent raid of the home of a released prisoner. The soldiers beat him up badly. He is hospitalized.

12. Nablus – second day of raid of eastern part of town, securing colonists on their pilgrimage to Joseph’s Tomb. Military vehicle filmed attempting to run over a pedestrian.

13. Balata refugee camp and town, east Nablus – raid of market and schools in the both. Confrontations. Soldier wounded by home-made bomb.


Demolitions

1. al-Ramadin, south of Hebron – demolition orders for several shops.

2. Dahiyyat al-Salaam, north-east of Jerusalem – building of 8 apartments and shops demolished.

3. Nabi Salih, north-west of Ramallah – a military bulldozer uproots olive trees.


Colonist attacks against Palestinians

1. Sa'ir, north of Hebron – colonists erect a tent on Mount Al Khadeeb, east of town. Violent confrontations with inhabitants.

2. Qawawis and Shib Al Butin, Masafer Yatta – colonists enter their flocks among fruit trees and houses.
