Criminal Incidents
1. Tamra - shooting incident. A man in his mid-20s moderately injured in the lower body and evacuated to Rambam Hospital in Haifa after initial treatment at the scene.
2. Majd al-Kurum - assassination attempt foiled. An assassination cell identified by detectives from the central investigations unit while on the way to the target. Police attempted to block the cell’s vehicle and a chase developed, during which the driver tried to run over a police officer. The officer was injured and the other officers opened fire at the vehicle. As a result of the fire, one member of the cell, a resident of Yirka, was critically injured and later died. The remaining members of the cell were arrested. The motive for the assassination is likely a conflict between two crime organizations.
