Raids and arrests

During the night, Israeli forces raided Jenin refugee camp and town (100th consecutive day), Tulkarm refugee camp and town (84th consecutive day), Nur Shams refugee camp (81st consecutive day), Nablus, Aqraba, Silat ad-Dhahr, Hizma, Anabta, Qalqilya, at-Tabaqa, Azzun. During the day they raided Far'un, Balata town, Sa'ir, Umm Salamuna, Al-Yamun, Idna, Beit Furik, Deir Abu Da'if, Beita, Huwara. At least 15 Palestinians were arrested, including one minor.

Jenin - 100th consecutive day

‣ According to reports of various sources, the US State Department plans to revoke the role of the American security coordinator between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.

‣ Extensive coverage by the Palestinian media of the fires in the Judean Foothills and Jerusalem Hills. The Palestinian Authority offered help.


Army attacks against Palestinians

1. Nablus – raid, confrontations. Roads closed due to colonist march. Traffic jams.

2. Balata town, Nablus – destruction and damage to property and food in house searches.



3. Hizma, north of Jerusalem – Raid. Another raid at night toward midnight.

4. Anabta, east of Tulkarm – arrests, 3 youngsters arrested.

5. at-Tabaqa, south of Hebron – dawn raid. 7 persons arrested.

6. Far'un, south of Tulkarm – one person arrested. A fire broke out near the village in the evening.

7. Umm Salamuna, south of Bethlehem – the army take down Palestine flag flown in local school.

8. Al-Yamun, west of Jenin – raid, confrontations. Live fire. Explosive charge activated against army vehicle. 2 Palestinians wounded.

9. Beita, south of Nablus – Confrontations. Fire exchange. Palestinians activated an improvised explosive charge. According to Palestinian sources, 2 Israeli soldiers were wounded. The army reports one soldier wounded. Auxiliary forces. Bulldozers. Israeli ambulances arrive to evacuate hurt persons.

All entrances to the town and to nearby Huwara closed. Extensive confrontations in the town including burning tires and blocking roads. The army reacts with live fire. Detentions, ground interrogations and arrests.

10. Idna, west of Hebron – raid. 14-year-old minor arrested.

11. Beit Furik, east of Nablus – confrontations. Teargas.


Demolitions, confiscations and blocking

1. Iraq Burin, south of Nablus – colonist earth works backed up by the army, destruction of farmland around the village.

2. Burqa, north-west of Nablus – cessation of construction order issued at Park Burqa, a project financed by Saudi Arabia and the Union of Palestinian Local Authorities.


Palestinian attacks against colonists

1. Duma, south-east of Nablus – Palestinians set afire a tent erected by colonists at the edge of the village (details below).

2. Hamra colony, northern Palestinian Jordan Valley – “Srugim” website reports a great fire probably due to arson.

3. Geva Binyamin colony, east of Al-Ram – Palestinian sources report alarm sirens in the colony, under suspicion of penetration.


Colonist attacks against Palestinians

‣ Khirbet Al Halawa – a colonist grazes his flock in Palestinian farmland and damages crops;

Umm al-Khair – colonists graze their flocks among the village houses, backed up by the army;



Az-Zuweidin – inhabitants whose homes were destroyed by the army a day earlier return and raise tents over their home rubble.



2. Jalazone refugee camp, north of Ramallah – colonists from Beit El colony much with flags inside the camp.

3. Duma, south-east of Nablus – colonists raise a tent on the edge of the village. Youngsters from the village butn the tent. Colonists attack the edges of the village backed up by the army and start fires. Confrontations. 3 Palestinians wounded, one of them stabbed.
