Ceasefire and hostage exchange
‣ Agreement about ceasefire and hostage exchange in several phases was signed. The first ceasefire phase is supposed to become valid on January 19th, at 12:15.
‣ Immediately after this announcement, the Israeli army began intense aerial attacks throughout the Gaza Strip, costing numerous victims.
‣ Immediately after the announcement, dozens of aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip.

Central Strip

‣ Vehicle bombed, 5 persons killed, among them a civilian who used to report the goings-on;
‣ Shelling from the sea;
‣ Pregnant woman wounded, her leg severed. Underwent emergency surgery to save fetus, but it died. Buried along with her leg.
2. Al Bureij refugee camp:
‣ 2 night bombings, 5 persons killed;
‣ Bombing around a mosque, 4 persons killed.
3. Al Maghazi refugee camp:
‣ Artillery fire during the night;
‣ Aerial bombing.
4. Deir al-Balah – house bombed in the night.

Southern Strip
1. Rafah:
‣ Night artillery at Al Mawasi;
‣ Drones bomb in the north, wounded persons;
‣ Helicopter fire at city center;
‣ Bombing east of town, 2 persons killed.
2. Khan Yunis:
‣ Night bombing of displaced persons tents at Al Mawasi, wounded persons;
‣ Machine-gun fire at Ghabasan al Jadida;
‣ Bombing in the western part of town, 3 persons killed, a journalist among them.
