Raids and Arrests

Jenin refugee camp and town (493rd consecutive day), Tulkarm refugee camp and town (487th consecutive day), Nur Shams refugee camp (473rd consecutive day);

‣ During the night, Israeli forces raided Al-Ubeidiya, Arranah, Deir Abu Da'if, Burqa, Usarin, Tayasir, Nablus, Al Ein refugee camp, Asira ash-Shamaliya, Halhul, Hizma and Qabatiya. During the day, they raided Kafr Qaddum, Anata, Deir al-Ghusun, Atara, Deir Ballut, Qabalan, Kafr Qallil, Beit Furik, Ni'lin and Abwein. At least 33 people were arrested, including two young women. Eighteen arrests were reported in Hizma.

Israeli Military Attacks on Palestinians

1. Nahalin, west of Bethlehem - clashes, teargas and stun grenades.

2. Qabatiya, south of Jenin - special forces raid before dawn, reinforcements in the morning, arrest.

3. Tayasir, east of Tubas - night raid on several homes.

4. Tulkarm - raid on a house in the eastern neighborhood and destruction of its contents. Arrest.

5. Hizma, north-east of Jerusalem - raid that began during the night. Detentions, field interrogations, closure of all entrances and arrests. At least 18 residents were arrested.


As a result of the raid, the Palestinian Ministry of Education announced that classes in the town would not take place. Complaints of looting were reported. Soldiers were documented taking bottles of water from outside a closed shop.


6. Deir Ballut, west of Salfit - raid on a car wash facility and arrest of two people.

Wadi al-Haramiya, north of Ramallah - the military stopped a Palestinian vehicle and questioned two passengers on suspicion of allegedly carrying out a vehicle-ramming attack, following a complaint by a 17-year-old colonist who claimed the driver attempted to run him over after a confrontation between them. No arrests were reported.

8. Ni'lin, west of Ramallah - clashes.

9. Deir Nidham, north-west of Ramallah - night raid on a home.

10. Beit Furik, east of Nablus - clashes.

11. Usarin, south of Nablus - night raid on a home.

12. Al Ein refugee camp, west of Nablus - night raid on a home.

13. Asira ash-Shamaliya, north-west of Nablus - pre-dawn raid on a home and arrest.


Demolitions and Blockages

1. Rashayida, east of Bethlehem - demolition of a residential house and structures.

2. Ain al-Hilweh, northern Palestinian Jordan Valley - demolition of residential structures and sheep pens.


3. Hebron - installation of an iron gate at the entrance to the Old City and placement of a military guard post on the roof of the old municipal building, which was declared a UNESCO heritage site.


4. Sika, south of Hebron - road blocked with earth mounds.

5. Khirbat al-Taibe, west of Hebron - earthworks on agricultural land.


6. Hizma, north-east of Jerusalem - all entrances to the town blocked with earth mounds and vehicles confiscated (see report on widespread raid and arrests above under Israeli Military Attacks on Palestinians).


7. Umm al-Khair, Masafer Yatta - expansion of the outpost. Infrastructure work and placement of mobile structures.


8. Ein Sinya checkpoint, north of Ramallah - very heavy traffic congestion due to closure of the checkpoint.

9. Bil'in, west of Ramallah - demolition of a cement factory between the town and nearby Kharbatha Bani Harith. Heavy traffic congestion on the road between the towns during the demolition.


Palestinian Attacks on Colonists

1. Shuqba, west of Ramallah - stones thrown at colonists' vehicles.


Colonist Attacks on Palestinians

1. Halhul, north of Hebron - several vehicles burned and attempted arson attack on a home.


2. Dar Fazia, east of Ramallah - provocations, as every day over the past week, against residents of the community located on private land near the junction of Routes 458 (Allon Road) and 449, east of Tayibe.


3. Umm Safa, north-west of Ramallah - grazing livestock on village land.


4. Khirbet al-Halawa, Masafer Yatta - colonist attempted to damage a bird nest.


5. Jit, east of Qalqilya - colonists threw stones at Palestinian vehicles near the entrance junction to the village.

6. Yasid, north of Nablus - farmer attacked on his land.

7. Beita, south of Nablus - dawn attack, injured person evacuated to hospital.


8. Yitzhar colony, south of Nablus - a resident of Awarta was injured in a colonist attack on vehicles near the colony.

9. Madama, south of Nablus - colonist cut down electricity poles with a saw.


10. Al Masoudia, north-west of Nablus - provocations near residential homes.
