Palestinians killed
‣ 38,848 persons killed, only 70% of them identified;
‣ 16,172 minors (according to the Palestinian Ministry of Communication in Gaza), only 8,000 of them identified (according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza).

Israelis killed
‣ 1,526 Israelis and foreign nationals were killed:
◦ Of these, 326 soldiers during the ground invasion;
◦ The number of persons killed among the 120 hostages is unknown. Estimates speak of over one-half.
Palestinian wounded
‣ 89,459 persons wounded;
‣ The Guardian interviewed 6 surgeons who volunteered in two hospitals. They report severe wounding, especially among children as a result of the use of bombs designed to maximize injury by adding a ‘sleeve’ of tiny particles that when entering the body (especially a small one such as a child’s) cause extended internal injuries.

‣ About 5,400 reports of wounded persons on October 7, 2023;
‣ 2,218 soldiers were wounded during the ground invasion.
Arrested
‣ A representative of the Commission on Prisoners and Released Prisoners’ Affairs visited Ofer Prison and reports as follows:
◦ A part of the detainees undergo sexual harassment (stripped and beaten in sensitive areas);
◦ Attacked by dogs while shackled, hands overhead;
◦ Over 100 ill and wounded persons without medical care;
◦ About 25 detainees held in concrete cells of about 5 sq.m. each, no air. Most sleep on the floor;
◦ Eat one meal a day while shackled;
◦ One-minute showers;
◦ Surveillance cameras even in toilets.
Demolitions
‣ According to the Guardian that relies on a report by the UN Committee on Environmental Matters of about a month ago, with a fleet of 100 trucks a day 15 years will be needed to remove 40 million tons of rubble that cover the Gaza Strip. The estimated cost of the removal project is 550-660 million dollars;
‣ 137,297 buildings were demolished. 65% of them are residential;
‣ The reconstruction of the Gaza Strip will last at least until 2040, at an estimated cost of 40 billion dollars. Estimates of the damage is double the estimate made in January 2024, and rises daily;
‣ The 907-kilogram bombs that Israel has used change the terrain and erase hills, schools, health installations, roads, infrastructures of water and sewage;
‣ 63% of the tended farmland and vegetation have been destroyed. Some trampled by tanks. This is a 9% rise compared to last month;
‣ 10% of the ammunition dropped on the Gaza Strip has not blown up, 10 explosions a week are reported, enlarging the number of the killed and amputated. Experts are needed in order to remove them.
Humanitarian crisis
‣ In addition to the previous report, according to the UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund), on the IPC scale (for categorizing 5 levels of nutrition crisis):
◦ 30,000 pregnant women are suffering stage 3 hunger;
◦ 10.000 pregnant women are suffering stage 4 hunger;
◦ 7,000 pregnant women are at stage 5, life threatening;
◦ Pregnant women in the Gaza Strip are 3-times as much in danger of miscarriage, early delivery or death on delivery;
◦ Only 11 centers service pregnant women or newborns. Access to them is often harsh and even dangerous. Many women give birth in displaced persons tents without clear water or sanitation.
‣ The Organization for Children with Special Needs (ASPC) held a survey among parents in displaced persons camps:
◦ 70% of the parents reported that conditions in the camps are unfitting for children with and without special needs;
◦ 90% reported the lack of privacy and crowding in toilets;
◦ 87% reported that children are in danger of exploitation;
◦ 65% reported that children do not receive appropriate medical care;
◦ 51% reported that they are unable to calm the children during bombings.

‣ The past week was one of the bloodiest since October 7, 2023. Following is the number of killed and wounded persons by day:
◦ July 13th - 61 persons killed, 129 wounded;
◦ July 14th - 141 persons killed, 400 wounded;
◦ July 15th - 80 persons killed, 216 wounded;
◦ July 16th - 49 persons killed, 69 wounded;
◦ July 17th - 81 persons killed, 198 wounded;
◦ July 18th - 54 persons killed, 96 wounded.
