Friday, January 3, 2025 – The Gaza Strip

Since noon, January 2nd until noon, January 3, 2025:

‣ 77 killed and 145 wounded persons brought to hospitals;

‣ Since October 7, 2023:

◦ 45,568 persons killed;

◦ 108,583 persons wounded.


A physician testimony from the Indonesian hospital


‣ According to the World Health Organization, the population of the Gaza Strip has lessened by 6%, and 25% of the persons wounded suffer life-changing wounds;



‣ After denying that Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya was arrested, the Israeli army spokesperson announced that Dr. Abu Safiya is arrested for sheltering Hamas activists in the hospital. His whereabouts are unknown, and news thickens that immediately after his arrest he was transferred to Jabalia to a temporary detention center where he was stripped and beaten up with an electric cable.


Attacks against Israel

‣ 3 rounds of false alarms in Sderot, Nir Am and Netiv HaAsara;

‣ Alarm siren in Be'eri. Interception of ground-air missile launched toward a battle helicopter during an attack. The siren at Be'eri was operated for fear of fall of interception fragments;

‣ Alarm siren in Sderot, Ivim, Nir Am. 2 rockets fired. One fell close to Nir Am, the second in open area.

Northern Strip

1. Jabalia refugee camp:

‣ Houses exploded during the night west of camp;

‣ 2 staff members of Al Awda Hospital wounded in a bombing of the Emergency Room. The army demands the hospital be evacuated.

‣ Machine-gun fire;

‣ Siege on Indonesian Hospital, evacuation demanded and threats of blowing it up. Later the Ministry of Health reported that this hospital too was shut down.

3. Gaza City:

‣ House bombed in western part of town during the night;

‣ Bombing of Sheikh Radwan, 3 persons killed;

Al Rimal – bombing at entrance of Shifaa Hospital, 5 persons killed;

‣ Drones bomb Sheikh Radwan;

‣ Bombing of Al Sabra, 2 persons killed;

‣ Bombing near mosque in Al Zeitoun, 3 children killed;

‣ Bombing of Shuja'iya, 7 persons killed, 4 children and a woman among them;

‣ Bombing in city center, 4 persons killed;

‣ Shelling from the sea;

‣ Bombing of school at Al Zeitoun, killed and wounded persons.



Central Strip

1. Nuseirat refugee camp:

‣ Night artillery fire and aerial bombing west of camp;

‣ Bombing from the south, 2 persons killed;

‣ Bombing north of camp, 3 persons killed, among them a woman photojournalist and her mother.

‣ House bombed during the night, a journalist and his parents killed.

‣ Vehicle bombed, 3 persons killed.



‣ House bombed during the night, 4 persons killed;

‣ House bombed, 3 persons killed;

‣ House bombed.

4. Al Bureij refugee camp:

‣ Machine-gun fire east of camp;

‣ Bombing near the mosque.


Southern Strip

‣ Bombing of Abasan Al Kabira (east);

‣ Bombing of city center, 2 persons killed.

2. Rafah – bombing from the north, 2 persons killed, 2 wounded.
