Wednesday, August 7, 2024 – The Gaza Strip

‣ 24 persons killed;

‣ 110 persons wounded;

‣ The Israeli army announced immediate evacuation of Beit Hanun and part of Beit Lahia and Sheikh Zayid;

‣ 24 hours*.


Attacks against Israel

1. Alarm sirens at Nir Am, probably a mistaken identification.


Northern Strip

1. Sheikh Za'id - aerial bombing 24 hours, massive artillery fire.

2. Beit Lahia - artillery fire east of town, massive artillery fire in the north, aerial bombing, fires.

3. Gaza City:

‣ Al Tufah (south) - apartment bombed, 3 persons killed. 2 killed in other bombing;

‣ Al Daraj (center) - house bombed, people wounded;

‣ Al Zeitoun (south-east) - aerial bombing;

4. Jabalia refugee camp - artillery fire at eastern part of camp.

Central Strip

1. Nuseirat refugee camp:

‣ Bombing north-west of camp, in Wadi Gaza;

‣ Artillery fire north of camp;

‣ Claims of Israeli use of white phosphorus shelling;

‣ Machine-gun fire in western part of camp.

2. Al Bureij refugee camp:

‣ Artillery fire.

3. Deir Al Balah:

‣ Bombing, wounded persons;

‣ World Kitchen Organization worker killed in bombing.

4. Al Zawaida - farmland bombed.

5. Al Mughraqa - buildings exploded.

1. Khan Yunis and surroundings:

‣ Khuza’a (east) - artillery fire, one woman killed;

‣ Aerial bombing of Al Shafi Mosque, 3 persons killed, more wounded;

‣ Artillery fire at displaced persons camp in Abasan Al Kabira (east), 7 persons killed;

‣ Bombing at Hamad (north);

‣ House bombed at Bani Suheila (east), 4 persons wounded;

‣ Displaced persons’ tent bombed, 3 persons killed;

‣ Another house in Bani Suheila bombed, one person killed;

‣ House bombed at Al Qarara.

2. Rafah:

‣ Residential buildings bombed;

‣ Artillery fire at Tel Al Sultan and Al Saudi (west);

‣ Aerial bombing.
