Day 21 of U.S.–Iran Negotiations to End the Regional War
Iran
‣ United States President Trump announces the suspension of implementation of the memorandum of understanding with Iran.
1. Events:
‣ United States forces strike targets along the coasts around the Strait of Hormuz. Explosions were heard in Sirik, Qeshm, Bandar Abbas, Bandar-e Mahshahr, Chabahar, Bushehr, and Isfahan.
‣ Iran announced that in response it is striking the United States Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain and the United States Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait.
2. Casualties:
‣ 8 military personnel killed in United States strikes on Bandar Abbas and Bandar-e Mahshahr, and several civilians wounded at the cargo port in Sirik.
Israel
1. Events:
‣ United States forces return refueling aircraft to Israel that had previously been evacuated from the country.
Lebanon
1. Events:
‣ Israeli military strikes in Lebanon:
◦ Airstrikes on Baraachit, Beit Yahoun, Nabatiyeh Al Fawqa (2 killed), and Taybeh.
◦ Artillery fire and illumination flares on Jabal Ali al-Taher, Haddatha, and Wadi El Hjeir.
◦ Stun grenades dropped on Al Mansouri and Sayyad.
2. Casualties:
‣ Since March 2, 2026:
◦ 4,321 killed and 12,203 wounded.
