Killed

1. Saber Amital, age 21, Bedouin diaspora in the Negev. Amital, held by the Shin Bet on suspicion of weapons smuggling, was found unconscious in his cell at the beginning of the month, hospitalized in critical condition at Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon, and died from his wounds last Friday.

Police claim he attempted to take his own life, but his family reports that when they were allowed to visit him in hospital on June 8, they found severe bruises on his body. His body was transferred to the forensic medicine institute, where — at the family's request — only an external examination will be conducted, without an autopsy.

Raids and Arrests

1. Ar'ara – Raid during which weapons and combat materiel were seized. 13 residents arrested.

Criminal Incidents

1. Umm al-Ghanam – Shooting incident. A 35-year-old man wounded and evacuated to hospital.
